Dr. Francisco Javier Galan Vasquez

DR. FRANCISCO JAVIER GALAN VASQUEZ was born in Madrid Spain in the late 1940's. In 1962 he began his Martial Arts career with the practice of Kodokan Judo. At this time Judo was the only Martial Art allowed in Spain. His instructor was Takeda-Sensei who was the Soke of Takeda Family. Eventually as more arts were brought in to Spain he studied Hapkido and Shito Ryu Karate. During this time period he was the university champion in Judo and Self Defense. Wanting more in the way of Martial Arts, Vasquez-Soke went to the United Kingdom and began his most intensive training by way of a multitude of Martial Arts to choose from and a tremendous amount of seminars to learn from. It was during this period that he found in his words "his teacher, his guide, and his light," Dr. Vernon C. F. Bell, the father of British Karate. Dr. Vasquez has spent 40 years in the Martial Arts and is highly respected he is known for his loyalty and his honesty.

At present, Dr. Vasquez is Soke of Kaizen Ryu Aiki Ju-Jutsu 10th degree black belt. Executive Chairman and International Coordinator for the European Ju Jitsu Union (E.J.J.U.) 9th degree black belt Ju-Jitsu. Vice President Seibukan Academy Kyoto Japan Nihom Buguel Okinawa. The European representative for Hikari Ryuza Ryu Do Kan®

Dr. Vasquez holds a Japanese doctorate in Budo, a bachelor degree in economics, a bachelor degree in English, and an M.B.A.
