You may have heard Judy and Eddie Howard at Jim's Steak House piano bar. Now come and have some fun with them and some of their their friends. They will perform a mix of rhythm and blues, and jazz. Their music will be centered around the sounds of Jimmy McGriff and Jack McDuff, which you often hear on WGLT FM.
Eddie will play guitar and do vocals, while Judy will play the keyboards. Rich Olson joins the group on drums, while Jim Curless plays sax and Tom Stoner plays trumpet. There may also be another guest artist to join them on guitar. This group plays on Thursday nights at Bogie's on Sterling. They appear on the first Wednesday each month at the Yankee Doodle in Bloomington. They also perform monthly at the Trading Post in Springfield. Eddie and Judy also perform regularly as a trio at Jim's Bistro in Peoria Heights. This will be a fun night for everyone.
The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band will perform during the middle set, under the leadership of Larry Harms. The CIJS House Band features outstanding jazz musicians from the area. They will entertain you with a
mixture of jazz styles. This talented group is the heart of our monthly jazz offerings for the jazz fans of Central Illinois. We are grateful to them for their variety of live jazz offerings. Come out and support them and Live Jazz.
