The Dave Dreyer Quintet will make their second appearance as the guest group at the Central Illinois Jazz Society. Dave leads the quintet on flute, guitar and vocals. Joining Dave are Kevin Hart on vibes, Josh Walden on bass, Steve Adelman on drums and Leigh Meador on keyboards.
The quintet will present primarily standards, along with some original music. There will be an abundance of vocal jazz throughout their program. They perform regularly in the Champaign area and will have CDs available for sale at the program.
The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band will perform during the middle set, under the leadership of Larry Harms. The CIJS House Band features outstanding jazz musicians from the area. They will entertain you with a mixture of jazz styles. This talented group is the heart of our monthly jazz offerings for the jazz fans of Central Illinois. We are grateful to them for their variety of live jazz offerings. Come out and support them.
