Stephanie Aaron will come down from Chicago to join Larry Harms for our July program. Stephanie will be featured on vocals, while Larry will perform at the piano - a surprise for those of you who are used to seeing him play the sax. Other guest performers include Toby Curtright on bass, Tom Marko on drums and Doug Stone on sax.
The group will present songs from their newly released CD, "The Pleasure of Corruption Collection", in addition to standards. The CD project started about one year ago when Stephanie and Larry went to Nashville, Tennessee to begin work on ten songs. Their CDs will be available for purchase at the program. We look forward to having two former Peorians, Stephanie and Doug, return from Chicago to perform at this Central Illinois Jazz Society program. Stephanie and Doug are well known, as talented musical artists, to those who attend our monthly programs. This will surely be a great evening of vocal and instrumental jazz music.
The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band, featuring outstanding jazz musicians from the area, will also entertain you with a mixture of jazz styles. This talented group is led by Larry Harms and is the heart of our monthly jazz offerings for the jazz fans of Central Illinois. We are grateful to them for their variety of live jazz offerings. Come and support them - bring a friend.
