The Central Illinois Jazz Society Presents

Larry Harms Quartet

The Central Illinois Jazz Society presents
Larry Harms Quartet
6:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 28, 2002
Jumer's Castle Lodge (in the Mozart Room), Peoria

The Larry Harms Quartet is the guest group for our July program. Led by Larry, this quartet will present a broad range of jazz styles, in addition to some other styles. They will feature music by Gershwin, Cole Porter, Fats Waller, and Billie Holiday, along with some Patsy Cline - yes, that's Patsy Cline, like in country.

Larry leads the quartet on sax, with Stephanie Aaron on vocals. Stephanie will sing a broad range of jazz, with a little Patsy Cline thrown in. Stephanie is a Peoria native, who has been performing for years on the stage, behind the mike and on the radio. She has appeared previously at the Jazz Society. Andy Crawford will be on bass, Dan Diefendorf on drums, and Joe Metzka on guitar. These are all great musicians, who perform regularly throughout Central Illinois and at the Jazz Society programs. They perform at Martini's on Water Street every Friday from 8:00 pm until midnight and at the Loft on Front Street in Bloomington two Saturdays per month.

The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band, featuring outstanding jazz musicians from the area, will entertain you with a mixture of jazz styles. This talented and versatile group, led by Larry Harms, is the heart of our monthly jazz program for the jazz fans of Central Illinois. Larry is going to be a busy guy at the July program, while performing with the guest group and the House Band. We are grateful to the House Band for their variety of live jazz offerings. Come out and support them - you'll enjoy it.
