Song stylist Rachael Lee has been entertaining audiences in the Central Illinois area for over 30 years. She has performed at festivals throughout the United States and Canada, including the Midwest Jazz Heritage Festival on the Peoria Riverfront. We welcome Rachael back to the Jazz Society. Kevin Hart on piano and Jeff Helgesen on trumpet will join her. Both Kevin and Jeff have appeared previously at the Jazz Society. The Jeff Helgesen Quartet will also include drums and bass. Rachael performs regularly with Jeff's quartet in the Urbana area. Their next appearance will be at the Iron Post in Urbana on Sunday, February 10, from 8:00 until 11:00 pm. We look forward to Rachael's return. She is one of the outstanding vocalists in Central Illinois. You will not want to miss this program.

The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band, featuring outstanding jazz musicians from the area, will also entertain you with a mixture of jazz styles. This talented group is led by Larry Harms and is the heart of our monthly jazz offerings for the jazz fans of Central Illinois. We are grateful to them for their variety of live jazz offerings. Come out and support them.

The Central Illinois Jazz Society is a non-profit organization that is open to anyone who enjoys jazz. You do not have to be a musician to be a member or to attend our programs.
